Your creativity is far more important than the design tool

I remember reading an article a while back, and it was about how people get super hyped up about their preferred design tool.

But…

…The article also made an even more significant point that a designer’s creativity is the primary factor in successful design. The choice of design tool is merely secondary, and I couldn’t agree more.

So let me tell you why your creativity and skills are far more important than any design tool you choose.

Don’t be swayed by ‘Design Twitter’

Despite our preferences towards certain design tools, the true essence of our creations lies within our creative abilities.

You’re willing to push your creativity and feel confident in your abilities, right?

In that case, you can achieve anything you want regardless of the tool in hand or when someone on ‘Design Twitter’ is trying to sway you towards the tool with the newest ‘shiny shiny’ features.

Certain tools may restrict how far you can push your creativity, but they’ll never completely suppress it. If you are determined to be the best you can be, you will become that with whatever tool you choose.

Creativity is always key, not the tool

Remember. Every design tool available to us is just that, a tool.

If you’re determined to be the best you can be, you will become that with whatever tool you choose. It’s always your creativity that is key here.

You can produce fantastic work in any design tool you decide to go with if you’re willing to push yourself as far as you can go creatively.

See you next week,
Marc.
